BOYD Ida Broward Boyd, 98, died peacefully in her home on May 19. Ida was born November 30, 1913 at 215 Louisa Street South Jacksonville to Pulaski and Ida Broward, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Crowther Mann Boyd, three brothers and her sister.

Her youngest brother Robert C. Broward, two nieces, Kristanna Broward Barnes and Elizabeth Broward Souza, a great-niece and four great-nephews and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews from her husband's family, survive her.

She graduated from Landon High School, class of 1932 and attended Florida College for Women in Tallahassee. Ida and Crowther married in 1939 and shared a lifetime of traveling around the world. Upon Crowther's death, Ida continued his tradition of generosity to family, friends and community allowing many to have opportunities they may not otherwise have had. Ida's family will be eternally grateful to Barbara Smith, Sherri Mitchell, Joann Yoshihara and Shelia McCray who were not only her dedicated, loving caretakers but became part of her extended family.
