It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Tami Lynne Smith Mauldin, 42, on February 5, 2011, after a brave battle with cancer. Tami had a pivotal role within the special needs community. Her role working in the community made her loved and respected by all who knew her. Tami was deeply involved in Scouting for over 10 years. Her work with Pack 37 and Troop 542 made her a role model for boys of all ages.
Tami is survived by her husband Danny Mauldin Jr., daughter Michele Montgomery and husband Sean Montgomery, and son Danny Mauldin III. She is also survived by her mother Rae Leavitt, her grandmother Elizabeth "Betty" Patterson, sisters Debra Grayson, Katherine Weeks, Sabrina Brigance, and Charlyn Grayson, and also many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In celebration of her life, a ceremony will be held at First Christian Church of Orange Park at 3:00pm on Thursday, February 10, 2011. In lieu of flowers we ask for donations of potted plants to be placed in a prayer garden in her memory.
