Harold L. Carraway, 91, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away March 17, 2011. He was born June 5, 1919, in Turbeville, South Carolina, to parents John and Mary Jane Carraway. Mr. Carraway served his country during World War II in the Army and United States Air Force. He was a retired insurance agent with Metropolitan Life and enjoyed fishing, playing cards, bingo, shopping, and driving up to the age of 91 years, but spending time with family and friends was most precious to him. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret, his parents, and brothers, Ernest and James. Survivors include his devoted son, John, daughter-in-law, Rosemary, grandchildren, John, Jr. (Heather), and Erin, and great-granddaughter, Annalise Michelle, of Jacksonville, Florida. A private service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Community Hospice of NE Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
