Rose Marie Fuchs, 57, of Tijeras, N.M., died of a heart attack on March 23, 2011. A memorial service will be set at a later date in both Tijeras, N.M., and Aberdeen, S.D.

Rose was born August 3, 1953, in Aberdeen, S.D., to Gene and Barbara (Sahli) Schwan. She attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Roncalli High School in 1971. She received a bookkeeping degree from Aberdeen Business College and completed her BS in accounting at Anderson School of Business through the University of New Mexico. Rose worked as the manager of the Albuquerque Public School System, Grant Management Department.

Rose was married to Louis G. Fuchs on July 19, 1980, in Virginia Beach, Va.

Grateful to have shared in Rose's life are her husband, Louis G. Fuchs of Tijeras, N.M.; her mother, Barbara (Sahli) Schwan of Aberdeen, S.D.; her children, David Haberer of St. Mary's, Ga., Brandon (Chelsea) Fuchs of Edgewood, N.M., and Jessica (Anthony) Silva of Tijeras, N.M.; her sister, Patricia (Ritchie) Kaul of Fargo, N.D.; her niece and great-niece, Heather (Dan) Van Engelenhoven and Breanna Kaul of West Fargo, N.D.; her nephew, Ryan (Ginger) Kaul of Mott, N.D.; along with her aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Schwan.
