Helen Louise Martin

JACKSONVILLE, FL - Helen Louise Martin, age 90, entered her heavenly home on May 15, 2011.

Born February 20, 1921 in Anderson County, SC she is the eldest daughter of the late Savilla Ann Newton and Chesley Wyatt Martin.

Helen is a retired employee of the Tweed Shop and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. She lived with her niece, Sonya Behling Eason, in Jacksonville for the past 13 years. Helen is a talented seamstress, home decorator, gardener, floral designer and loved to entertain. Helen is lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her many acts of kindness for which she gave of herself.

She is predeceased by her parents and brothers: Johnson Benjamin Martin, Sr. & Conrad Warren Martin, Sr.

Survivors are her sister, Ann Elizabeth Curry of Mt. Holly, NC and brother, Newton Duckworth Martin of Charlotte; and her many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC at a later date.
