Bobby Dale Straight, 57, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011. He was born in Little Rock, AR on April 16, 1954 to the late James Holbert Straight and the late Virginia Wilda Campbell Smith. He served in the US Army and later worked as a Foreman in the Heating and Cooling industry. Bobby was an avid NASCAR and Ohio State football and basketball fan and loved cooking and grilling out. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, James Holbert “Homer” Straight. He is survived by his children: Sapresa, Bobbie-Lynn, Tiffany, Bobby “Bud,” Brandon, Tammy, and Joey; grandchildren: Alexis, Taylor, Bobby Jr., Brooklyn, Dallen, Emma, Jaylene, and Bobby; 1 sister; 3 brothers; 3 nieces; 5 nephews; 2 daughters-in-law; and 2 sisters-in-law.

Services in Jacksonville, FL will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at River City Family Church, 6800 West 5th Street, officiated by Dr. James Gipson.

Services in Columbus, OH will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Anchor Baptist Church, 3699 Clime Rd, Columbus, OH 43228 officiated by Dr. George E. Bell. Reception will follow in the fellowship hall until 7:00 pm.
