Alberta H. Porter, 76, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in Orange Park, FL. Born to Frank and Annie Mae Davis on April 22, 1935 in Jesup, GA, she was affectionately known as Mama Bert, Big Mama, and Granny. She worked as a nurse at St. Vincent’s Medical Center and was a member of Murray Baptist Church. Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Rolack, Sr.; and daughter, Ferdinea Rolack Nicholas. She is survived by her children Cleveland T. Rolack, Eddie Rolack, Jr., Wesley Rolack, Anthony S. Boyd, Cynthia Ann James, and Lorain Ann Porter. Memorial services officiated by Pastor Ray Jones will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Unity Christian Church, 2135 West 43rd St, Jacksonville, FL 32209. Flowers may be delivered directly to the church.
