Charles H. Lilly, 84, formerly of Erwin, went tobe with our Lord on Monday, April 28, 2014.

Charles was the son of the late Earl and Willie Kate Lilly. He graduated from Unicoi County High School and attended East Tennessee State University. After serving in the Navy, he returned to Erwin and began work at the Clinchfield Railroad in 1952. In 1973, he transferred to Jacksonville, FL with the railroad, then Seaboard Coast Line, eventually retiring in 1987 from CSX Railroad as Director of Freight Revenue Accounting.

Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Mashburn. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, and sister, Evelyn Schmidt.  He has 3 children - David, Karen Darden, and Alan; 6 grandchildrenand 11 greatgrandchildren.
