Donald Lee Henke, 79, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away at his home on January 9, 2015 due to heart failure. Don was born on June 3, 1935 in Jasper, Indiana to Walter & Ella Mae Henke. He married the love of his life, Garnet Jean McDonald, on June 20, 1957 in the beautiful state of Georgia. Don served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After an honorable discharge from the Navy, he worked with the United States Postal Service, retiring in 1991. Don was survived by his son, Ron Henke & his wife Gail; grandson, Michael Penney & his wife Michele; sister, Betty Schmidt, and Aunt Millie. A memorial service will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2015 with Military honors conferred.
