Annie L. Coleman, 92, passed away March 9, 2016, after
a long battle with dementia. Annie was born in Alabama
on April 21, 1923, but has lived most of her life in Jacksonville,
Florida. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rester DeWitt
Coleman, Sr., and two of her sons, Rufus Coleman and Thomas
Coleman. She is survived by her remaining children: Patricia
Salzburg (Ron), Shirley Lowney (Ray), Laura Meeks, Jimmy
Coleman (Patty), Alan Coleman (Jodie), all of Jacksonville,
Florida, and David Coleman (Natolya), Seattle, Washington. and Gail Lott (Don)
of Jesup, Georgia, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by one brother, Claude E. Gilliam (Joyce),
Chickamauga, Georgia. She was a loving mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother who was deeply loved and will be missed by
everyone. Cremains will be interred with her husband at Restlawn
Cemetery where a memorial service will be held by the family.
