Walter W. Spangler, Jr. passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010. Born in New York City on June 15, 1925, he was a Navy Vet of WWII and a retired Adhesive Technologist from Sylvachem/International Paper. He received a US Patent for his work with ionized rosin based adhesive tackifiers. He inspired the lives of everyone he came in contact with. Beloved husband of Rose Spangler, married 60 years; father of Richard, Barbara, and Walter III; grandfather of Brannon, Sean, Walter IV, Stephen, and Jennifer. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 19, 2010 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, 1649 Kingsley Ave, Orange Park, FL (904) 264-0577. Interment at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
