Lyle Ross Allen passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Community Hospice McGraw Center for Caring. Born on Friday, August 29, 1930, he honorably served his nation in The United States Navy as a Naval Aviator and later tackled multiple careers including broadcasting, advertising, and photofinishing executive prior to founding St. Johns Insurance Agency in Ponte Vedra Beach. He leaves behind two children: son, Brooks Allen (wife, Anita), of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and daughter, Lydia Allen of Melbourne, Australia; sister, Burta Pierce of Austin, TX; and grandson, Oliver Allen of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
