Memorial services for Joseph Alan Simmons, 60, who passed away May 20, will be held at 9:30 am, Friday, May 28, 2010, at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218. Joseph served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star.
Joseph was born on December 7, 1949, in Jacksonville, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marion Simmons; sister Patricia (Terry) Tuten. He is survived by his daughters, Sara Simmons and Jennifer Simmons; grandson Mason A. Manchester; sisters Betty (Ronnie) O’Connor and Elizabeth (John) Norton; brothers William, James, Robert, Thomas (Tracey) Simmons and many nieces and nephews.
