Jacksonville

Agnes T. Groskopf, 82, of Tinley Park, entered into eternal life on September 9, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. Agnes was born in Chicago on July 15, 1943, to Thekla and Joseph Doherty.

Agnes was predeceased by her father, her mother, and her husband of 61 years, Ralph J. Groskopf.

She is survived by her son, William (Lisiane) Groskopf. She was the fifth of six children: the late Joseph (Gerri) Doherty, Rosemarie (Tom) King, John (Laura) Doherty, and the late Gerald (Tina) Doherty. Agnes cherished her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Agnes graduated from St. Leo Grammar School in 1957 and Visitation High School in 1961. She worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield before she got married and later as a secretary at a legal firm and an insurance company. She loved to be a mother and devoted herself to housework and motherhood after her child was born.

Agnes was the link that connected everything around her.

She was a lifetime fan of the Chicago White Sox.

Auggie, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey was characterized by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her death has left an empty space in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many others whose lives she touched.
