Aurora was born in Model, Colorado on December 19, 1935, and left us on February 20, 2025, at 89 years old.

She left behind her sister Vina Martinez, her brother Dave Martinez (Janet), her daughter Wanda Silva Mikelson, and Lori Thurston. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Dalton & Erin Mikelson, Dimitry Thurston, Casey & Alycia Silva, and her great-grandchildren Ezra & Wynter Mikelson, along with Kara-Mia Sandoval and Jeffrey Wallace, and Wesley Silva.

Aurora was very patient, loving, caring, funny, and loved to joke around. She was a gift from heaven to us, and now she is up in heaven with her late husband, her grandson Devin Mikelson, and her granddaughter Melissa Mikelson.

A graveside service will take place at Fort Loan Cemetery in Denver, CO at 11am on Friday, July 11th, 2025. A celebration of life will follow at the VFW Post 9644 rental hall in Sheridan, CO from 11:30am-2:30pm.
