Obituary

Brenda Byron Davies, 57, of Fleming Island, Florida, passed away on April 2, 2026, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 28, 1968, in Nashua, New Hampshire, Brenda was a bright light in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Wilmington University and was actively pursuing her master’s. Throughout her career, Brenda worked in many different roles and brought her warmth and dedication to each one. In recent years, she thrived as an instructional designer at Nemours Children’s Hospital, where colleagues deeply valued her positive energy and commitment. Above all, however, Brenda’s greatest joy and proudest role was being a loving wife and devoted mother.

She and her husband, Jared, shared 23 beautiful years of marriage and raised two wonderful children together. Brenda had a gift for making everyone feel instantly welcome. Spunky, witty, and endlessly optimistic, she lit up every room with her laughter and kind heart. She was beautiful inside and out.

Brenda loved good food, lazy rainy days, thunderstorms, and stormy beach walks. She enjoyed curling up to watch TV and remained a fiercely loyal New England Patriots fan. She cherished traveling to new places with family and friends and never lost her deep affection for her home state of New Hampshire — its mountains, trees, and classic New England charm always called her back.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Byron, and her sister, Gale. She is survived by her husband, Jared; her daughter, Evelyn; her son, Thatcher; her brother, David; and her sisters, Janet and Mary.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Alpine Grove – Skylight Room.
