Brenda Olcott, age 77, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Brenda later made her home in Florida, where she built a life centered around faith, family, and service. She enjoyed a long career with Publix Super Markets until her retirement, greeting coworkers and customers alike with her signature warmth. A dedicated and faithful member of Ocean Park Baptist Church in Jacksonville Beach, Brenda’s kindness and generous spirit touched everyone around her.

Brenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Olcott; her parents, Buck and Rhodie; and her siblings, Leon, Virginia, Mary, Clara, Helen, Bobby Joe, and Sidney.

She is survived by her devoted son, Tim (Nicole); her cherished grandchildren, Tim Jr. (Brittany) and Margaret (Justin); and her precious great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Jonathan, Thorin and Gage, all of whom brought endless joy to her life.

A celebration of Brenda's life will be held at Ocean Park Baptist Church in Jacksonville Beach at a future date.
