Damon A. Ard of Jacksonville, FL passed away December 5, 2018. He was born to Sallie Odessa Ard and Alto Z. Ard on May 7, 1943 in Thomaston, GA. Damon attended Jorden High School in Columbus, GA and served in the Army. He worked for the Department of Defense, U.S. Government. Damon was married to Barbara “Jeannie” Ard for fifty-three years. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend to many. Damon was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a Citizen Band “Ham Radio” operator.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; sons, Donald (Leigh Anne) and Michael (Jenny); 6 grandchildren, Ginger, Anthony, Michelle, Rhonda, Michael and Rebecca; 8 great-grandchildren, Daimen, Ashley, Tyler, Trey, Samantha, Natahia, Isabella and JJ; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1415 McDuff Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32205 with Pastor Robert Kinley officiating.
