David Bryan Charles, 62, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away at home on November 25th, 2025, surrounded by family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sherri, and their two daughters.

David proudly served in both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army before continuing his dedication to God and country as a civilian contractor overseas for ten years. He later founded Hardpoint Training, where he used his leadership, experience, and passion for service to prepare the next generation of protectors.

David loved the outdoors and enjoyed scuba diving, rucking, and quiet nights around a fire pit. His “perfect day” started at the shooting range and ended with dinner at the beach beside the love of his life, Sherri.

To those who knew him, David was the embodiment of a true sheepdog—selfless and steadfast, standing watch in the night so that others could rest safely and live freely. His humility, honor, and humor touched countless lives, ensuring his legacy lives on in all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on December 15th at 1:00 PM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend as we gather to celebrate our hero.
