Obituary
Don was born in Ocilla, GA on February 10, 1947 to parents George and Clara (Tison) Payton.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Pickett) Payton; sons, LaDon Payton and Jesse Payton; step-children, Sydette Thomas, Jake Fulmer and Stephanie Maldonado; grandchildren, Nicholas Thomas, Nicole Maldonado, Noah Fulmer and Logan Savage; and a great-grandson, Kayden Bell.
A memorial service will be held on August 25, 2018 at The Church of Argyle, 6823 Argyle Forest Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32244.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Community Hospice of NE Florida.
