Earl Jon Montie, age 93, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on May 18, 2019. He was born in Pound, WI on October 21, 1925. He served in the Navy and graduated from the University of Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Esther Montie; his brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Carol Montie; and his late wife, Elizabeth Baldridge Montie.

He is survived by his wife, Betty (Elizabeth); sister, Norine Schroeder (John); daughters, Liz (Elizabeth) Hamlett (David), Margaret Montie and Mary Brown; step-son, Gary Walo (Rosalie); grandchildren, Jeffrey Brown (Mar), Elizabeth Hamlett, Joshua Hamlett, Timothy Hamlett, and Josiah Hamlett; step-grandson, Jason Walo; and step great-grandson, Vincent Walo.

A committal service will be held Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery with Navy Military Honors.
