Elle Mae Nordgren, 86, passed away suddenly on October 19, 2026, from a brain aneurysm.

Daughter of Elbert and Peggy Box, Eleanor Margaret was born November 27, 1939.

Elle attended Jacksonville State University in Alabama where she met the love of her life, Leonard Nordgren.

Elle taught school at Whispering Hills Elementary School in Titusville, Florida and J. L. Wilkinson in Middleburg, Florida when they moved there in 1975.

The Nordgren family joined Black Creek Methodist Church in 1975. Elle started singing in the choir and quickly became the pianist/organist until her passing. She was actively involved in the Food Bridge from its inception and worked the morning of her death.

Elle loved the beach, gardening, shopping, and laughing while spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 1/2 years Leonard, children Lori, Mike, and Jeff (Roberta), brother Munsey Box (Jean) of Collinsville, Alabama, three grandchildren Jeffrey and Nicholas Nordgren, Briana Groeger, and chosen daughters Brenda Arthur and Vickie Wilkinson.

A date for Elle's Celebration of Life has not been set and will be announced in the future.
