Elva Jean Ulery, 89 passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on July 17, 1936, in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, Elva Jean was daughter to Julia Rachel (Isola) Rega and Carmen Donald Rega.

In 1956 Elva Jean married the love of her life, Roger Reed Ulery, Jr. Together they shared an extraordinary 69 years of marriage filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering devotion. She loved being a wife, mom, and grandma (GiGi) more than anything. Her greatest happiness came from time spent with those she loved most. Elva Jean also found joy in cooking, baking, and square dancing.

Those who knew Elva Jean will remember her kindness, warmth, and unmistakable “sparkle”. She was selfless, passionate, and caring. Her love for people was genuine and effortless - she made everyone feel like family.

Elva Jean is survived by husband Roger R. Ulery, Jr; children Robin (Roy) Smith, Roger R Ulery III, Shari Countryman, Julie (Tony) Rhodes; grandchildren Amanda (James) Adams, Michael (Tabatha) Rhodes, Blair Countryman, Jennifer Rhodes, Taylor (Taylor) Countryman; great grandchildren Colby, Matthew, Everly, Easton, Brynlee, Ellie, Jacob, Riley, Reese, Marley and Hazel. She is also survived by her brother Johnny (Paula) Rega and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and ten siblings.

A celebration of Elva Jean’s life will be held at a later date.
