Mr. Eugene Wright Sr, a WWII Veteran, passed away peacefully at Community Hospice in Jacksonville FL. He was born to Ira N. and Clara Carstensen Wright on Dec 20, 1923. He attended several schools in Des Moines, Iowa finishing at Woodside School in Saylor Township. He did not finish school but, was drafted into the Army Air Corp. during World War II flying on a Transport Plane, helping to transport Paratroopers into the War and injured soldiers out of the War Zone throughout France. He is preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Wright, two sons, Rickey M. Wright and Harold L. Wright, and a Step Son, Ricky Platt. He is survived by sons Eugene Wright Jr of Portland, Oregon, Randy K Wright of Jacksonville FL, two stepsons, Richard Platt of Aurora, CO, Rodger Platt of Westminster, CO along with four Grandkids, Four Great Grandkids, Seven Step Grandkids and Seven Step Great Grandkids.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, March 28, 2019 at Staging area “A” of Ft Logan with Military Honors rendered.
