Floyd Lamb, 90, of Jacksonville, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
Floyd was born in Fredrickstown, Ohio on July 25, 1934, to the late Robert and Opal Strong Lamb. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Patricia Louise Cranmer whom he married after returning home from serving his country during the Korean War from 1952 to 1957. Floyd was a metalsmith in the United States Navy and then worked as a tool and dye maker for General Motors for 41 years. He moved his family to Lexington, Ohio in 1961 where he lived until November of 2023. Floyd loved his family and enjoyed golfing, fishing, mushroom hunting, painting, poker, and gardening. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, 6 sisters, and 8 brothers. He is survived by his 2 sons, Mark (Donna) Lamb of Jacksonville Florida, and Jeff (Margie) Lamb of Columbie, Tennessee. Three grandsons, Three granddaughters, 11 great grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10 am on June 28, 2025, at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Ohio.
