With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Frances Lawson, who departed this world peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 4:37 PM. She was 80 years old.
Born on January 20, 1945, Frances was a woman of quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering love for her family and community. She built a life rooted in kindness, patience, and care—a life that left a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Frances is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald Lawson; her daughter, Tracey Fisher; her son, Timothy Lawson; and her treasured grandchildren: Alysia, Michael, Mya, and Marcus. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Robert Fisher, whose memory remained in her heart.
Frances had a remarkable gift for making others feel safe, heard, and loved. Her presence brought comfort and calm, and her home was always a refuge filled with warmth. She expressed her love through the simple but powerful acts of everyday life, always ready with a listening ear, a kind word, or a warm meal.
She had a deep love for cooking and baking, often gathering her family and friends around a table filled with delicious, homemade dishes and treats. The sweet aroma of pies, casseroles, and fresh bread was her way of welcoming you to her home.
Frances was also a talented quilter, pouring her care and creativity into every stitch. Each quilt she made was more than just fabric—it was a labor of love, a piece of her heart, and a lasting symbol of comfort. Many of her family members and friends have been blessed to receive her quilts, which now serve as cherished keepsakes and reminders of her warmth and generosity.
A private service will be held in accordance with her wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Frances’s memory to a charity of your choice or that you honor her by performing a quiet act of kindness, sharing a meal, or wrapping someone in love—just as she did so often in life.
Frances Lawson’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her legacy one of love, comfort, and care. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.
