Jack Charles Sox, age 75 of Jacksonville, FL, passed peacefully on June 24, 2026. Jack is survived by his wife of 48 years Dianne Sox; their children Kristen Sox and Amanda Sox; sister-in-law Jill Sox; nephews Matthew and Mark Sox; and niece Kelly Kurtz (Evan). He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Elaine Sox; and his brother David Sox.

Jack was born in Birmingham, AL on November 17, 1950. He spent most of his early life in Tampa, FL where he graduated from Plant High School and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida. Jack was a Vietnam Veteran serving as a radio operator in the Army stationed in Vietnam, then Germany. After college, he moved to Jacksonville where he spent the remainder of his life. He was employed at Barnett Bank/Bank of America for over 30 years as a Computer Programmer and Database Analyst.

Jack had a close-knit group of friends from high school that he kept in touch with and maintained a close relationship with former coworkers. Jack had his own special sense of humor and enjoyed reading and spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband and father, as well as a lifelong loyal friend.

Jack was a longtime member of Lakewood Church in Jacksonville. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the church on July 21, 2026, at 11:00AM.
