James “Nihme” Abdullah, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on January 14, 2026. He was born November 24, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan.
Nihme proudly served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War and was a member of All Souls Anglican Church. He enjoyed metal searching, fishing, and target shooting, and was known as a generous brother, loyal friend, and a devoted patriot who loved his family and country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Olga Abdullah, and his sister Jacqueline Abdullah Pickenpaugh.
Nihme is survived by his sister Nancy Abdullah Ray and her husband Bill; nephew Billy Ray; nieces Jennifer Pickenpaugh Winchester and Carrie Pickenpaugh Conlon; great nephews and nieces, Alex, Carson, Kate, Jacob and Adaline.
A graveside service will take place at Jacksonville National Cemetery on January 27, 2026, at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nihme’s memory to All Souls Anglican Church, 4042 Hartley Rd. Jacksonville, Florida 32257.
