Jean M. Allen

February 16, 1938 — March 29, 2023

Jean M. Allen – 85 , passed away on March 29, 2023, in St. Augustine, FL. Jean was born February 16,

1938, in Lorain, OH to Parents – Freeburn Smiley & Dorothy (Frederick) Bishop. She graduated from

Medina H.S. in 1956. In her younger days, she loved dancing at the VF W or anywhere music was being

played; Jean was a collector o f anything with Panda Bears. Jean will always be remembered for being

Nanny to her grandchildren and quickly became “ N anny” to all who knew her and loved her. Her memory

will be cherished by her grandchildren who were blessed to have her in their lives. She thought about and

loved all of them sovery much. She had a big heart that wanted tohelp everyone shemet and was sometimes

generous to a fault.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Allen and her son Jimmy Curtis. She is survived by sons,

Jack Curtis and Robbie Boggs; daughter Michelle Hunt (John Marks); brother George (Dolores) Smiley;

Diane & Dave Rondinelli; grandchildren, Jackie Allen, Dixie & Jamie Curtis, Leah Droege (Dylan), Laura

Rondinelli (Luke), Becky Badilla (Danny), Tyler Hunt and great grandchildren, Courtney Badilla; Carlee ;

Roland and Reid Pushard; great-great grandchildren, Addilynn and Waylon; numerous nieces, nephews,

grandnieces and grandnephews.

Jean and Ed always said, when they passed, they did not want any public memorial, instead they wanted us

to toast them with their favorite cocktail ! Therefore, as per J ean’s wishes there will be a private memorial

at a later date and we will toast to the lives of Jean and Ed Allen.
