John Joseph Murphy, 69, of Jennings, FL passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021. He was born to Richard and Anne Murphy on April 29, 1951 in Manhattan, NY. John was of the Catholic faith.  He was a US Navy Vietnam veteran, serving as Machinist Mate third class aboard the USS Albany (CG-10) and received the National Defense Service Metal.

He will be remembered for his love of fishing.

John was proceeded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Margaret and Catherine.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Ann (Curtis), Sandy (Danny) and Tammy (Bill); 10 grandchildren, Scott, Kristine, Aaron, Kyle, Cody, William, Christopher, Jayden, Nevaeh and Liam; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces, Jeannie, Kelly and Kerry; 2 nephews, Brian and Kevin; Companion, Helen; 2 stepdaughters, Barbara (Mason) and Stacy; and 2 dogs, Murphy and Princess.

Celebration of Life will be held on a future date and will be private for the family.

He was a true Irish fighter to the end.
