Karen was born in Dearborn, Michigan to her proud parents Joseph Eugene Mottern and Clara Moody Mottern. Before moving to St Augustine, she grew up in Johnson City, Tennessee. Graduated from Happy Valley High and attended East Tennessee State University. She worked in the hospital as a patient scheduler retiring from Mayo.

She loved being an artist of stained glass, sewing, gardening and being creative. Karen will be remembered for her warmth, love, beautiful smile and caring ways.

Karen is survived by her sister, Kathy Davitt (Jack), nephews Joseph Wesley Davitt and Hunter John Davitt.

A Celebration of Life will be held by her family in St Augustine on Saturday, October 24th from 3 pm to 6 pm. Friends are welcome to stop by 2900 Bradford Street St Augustine Fl 32084 to share memories.
