Obituary

Keith A. Carrico, 59, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026. He was born on July 1, 1966, in Ironton, OH, to Donald R. Carrico and India P. Carrico.

Keith proudly served in the United States Navy from 1985 to 2009, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer from Naval Station Mayport. Following his military career, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Technical Management/Project Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. This achievement prepared him for his career as a government employee at Fleet Readiness Center Southeast at NAS Jacksonville, where he worked from 2009 until 2026. During his tenure, he held several positions, most recently serving as a Production Specialist from 2014 to 2026.

Keith had a deep love for anything related to the water—fishing and boating especially. He enjoyed woodworking, and above all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends. He had an immense love for music and treasured the relationship that he had with Julia Gulia (Andrew Jones and John Jones). He was an active and dedicated member of the Florida Tackle and Gun Club, always willing to lend a hand or volunteer whenever needed.

He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Brooke L. Carrico of Jacksonville, FL; his devoted son, Michael A. Carrico and wife Savannah of Orange Park, FL; his cherished daughter, Jennifer P. Carrico of Jacksonville, FL; and his beloved stepson, Evan M. Fricke, also of Jacksonville, FL. He was the proud grandfather of Sienna of Orange Park, FL. Keith is also survived by his brother, Michael K. Carrico and wife Mary of Hernando, FL; nephews Ben Carrico (Nicole), Brian Carrico, and niece Rebecka Carrico (Alan); multiple great-nephews and a great-niece; as well as several cousins in Ohio.
