Linda Ann Lucas, 65, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on October 8, 2025. Born on December 20, 1959, in Victoria, Texas, she lived a vibrant life filled with love and laughter.

Linda embraced life with a smile on her face, love in her heart, and a diet coke in her hand. She chose happiness; her humor—quick, dry, sometimes wicked—made life brighter for everyone lucky enough to know her. Her kindness and loyalty were unwavering; she was always ready to lift others up and stand for what she believed was right. A natural nurturer, she had a special gift for helping people, animals, and plants flourish.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jerry Lucas, daughter Amanda Valentine (Rich), son Jerry Lucas (Renee), grandchildren Alivia Valentine and Matthew Lucas, brother Michael Purswell (Patricia) and sister Dorothey Purswell.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on February 8, 2026, at the Art Center of Corpus Christi. Inurnment will follow at Seaside Funeral Home.

In honor of Linda’s deep compassion for animals and her courageous battle with illness, the family requests donations be made to local animal rescue organizations or to pancreatic cancer research.

Linda’s legacy of love, humor, and strength will continue to inspire all who knew her.
