Linda Lee Piorunneck

Linda Lee Piorunneck, 78 of St. Johns FL, beloved wife of the late Heinz A. Piorunneck, took her last breath on earth and her first in Heaven on October 10, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born September 29, 1942 to George and Ruth Murray of Stamford, CT. She was a devoted wife, mother and Nana who cherished time spent with family. Her life was defined by her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She loved her five daughters and their families immensely and was an encourager and prayer warrior to many.

Linda graduated from Stamford High School, class of 1960 and then went on to The Wood School in NY. She became a head secretary for Burndy Corporation in Norwalk, CT where she met her great love. She married Heinz and had her first daughter followed by two sets of twin girls. She moved with her family to Germany, then 4 years later back to Trumbull, CT for many more years before retiring with her husband to Lake Worth, FL. After her husband passed away, she moved to St. Johns with her eldest daughter Heidi and her son- in-law Joe. Wherever she lived, Linda got involved with her church serving God and others. She had the gift of hospitality, loved cooking, entertaining, gardening and traveling. She was a light to all who met her and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Heidi (Joe) Hartmann, Kirsten (Mike) Brooks, Karin (Travis) Burton, Renee (Jeff) Martin, Rebecca Borgerson, grandchildren Michael Burton, Amanda Burton, Rachel Brooks, Emily Martin, Owen Martin, Noah Borgerson, Abigail Borgerson, brother Robert Murray, sisters Laura Charest, Janet Karvonen, 2 nephews and a niece. She is predeceased by her husband Heinz Piorunneck and her sister Gail Connors.

There will be a small family celebration of life, to be decided at a later date, where Linda's ashes will be scattered in accordance with her wishes.
