Lisa Marie Thompson, 67, of Jacksonville, Florida, entered her eternal home with the Lord on June 30, 2026. She was born on December 21, 1958, in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Lisa’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother and a proud “Mimi,” cherishing every moment she spent with her children and grandchildren.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Chris Thompson and his wife, Jess, and their children, Michael and Charlie; Nicholas Bono; Sarah Lunt and her husband, James, and their children, Jace, Bella Kate, Walker, and Sydnee; Dyanna Nichols; Kayla Vann and her children, Kason and Kinsley; Alan McLaughlin and his wife, Lynn, and their children, Layne, Landon, Bailey, and Hunter; and Stuart McLaughlin.

Lisa showed her love through home-cooked meals, family traditions, and making everyone feel welcome. She found peace at the beach searching for seashells, loved traveling across the United States, and treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved most.

She was strong-willed, fiercely independent, and loved with her whole heart. Her family will forever cherish the memories of hearing her sing “You Are My Sunshine,” a simple song that became a reminder of her unconditional love.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her love, strength, and kindness will live on through the family she cherished so deeply.

To her family she was Mom, but to her greatest treasures she was simply Mimi—a name that will forever be spoken with love, remembered with gratitude, and carried in our hearts always.
