Mari Lyn Grace Jones Nowotny of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away peacefully on January 14th, 2026, at Community Hospice and Palliative Care in Jacksonville, Florida, after a long battle with cancer.
Born on August 28, 1967, in Springfield, Missouri, to the late Mary Emma Louise (Clevenger) Jones and Roger Brent Jones. She will be remembered for her kind, caring, compassionate, and generous heart. She lived most of her younger years in Springfield, Missouri, but moved to Alpena/ Harrison, Arkansas in the 90’s. In 2018 she moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she started a new career as an escort driver for oversized loads. She found love and had her dream wedding to Paul in May of 2024. She never met a stranger, and she would go out of her way to bring a smile to everyone’s face that she interacted with. She brought light to any room that she came into, and everyone loved her who met her.
She is survived by her loving husband Tall Paul, her 2nd mom Rhoda Faler (Dennis), daughters Tisha Hunt (Keith) & Tiffany Elizabeth Magee Nowotny, son James Followill, granddaughters Jayce Followill & Elizabeth Hunt, grandsons James Lee, Benjamin Hunt, Rowan, Alex & Zayden, sisters Jennifer Gibbs (Mike) & Katie Galligher, niece Savannah Newhart, nephews Isaiah Satterfield & Michael Gibbs II, and grandnieces Freya, Amicia, and Persephone. She was preceded in death by her parents, her niece Sarah Satterfield, her grandniece Hazel Dureya, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Tunnel To Towers Foundation.
