Marian Regina Spallone

Marian Regina Spallone, age 71, went to Heaven to be with our Lord on Sunday, June 22, 2025, in Jacksonville, FL; she had been a resident of Aspire San Jose Nursing Home since August, 2024 due to complications related to pancreas cancer.

She was born to her parents Americus Emilio “Emil” Spallone (Italian) and Gladys Spallone nee Polak (Polish) in Bronx, New York City. She had three siblings: Richard “Richie” Spallone, Gloria Sager nee Spallone, and Gerard “Gerry” Spallone. The family resided near the Throgs Neck area of the Bronx.

Marian graduated from Preston High School in 1971 in Bronx, NY and then from Iona College with a B.A. in psychology in 1975 in New Rochelle, NY.

Her church affiliations include St. Raymond Catholic Church in Bronx, NY, Sacred Heart Church in Oakland, CA, and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jacksonville, FL.

Her hobby and charity affiliations include the Audubon Society, World WildLife Fund; KQED Art Fund, along with various local art charities in San Francisco, Oakland, and New York.

She will be remembered for supporting local musicians, avidly collecting crystals and rocks, collecting costume jewelry, and being a passionate rainbow seeker & sunset sky seeker.

Marian is preceded in death by her father Emil Spallone in 1954, her mother Gladys Spallone in 1963, her brother Richie Spallone in 2002, and her sister Gloria Sager nee Spallone in 2015.

She is survived by her brother Gerry Spallone of Spring Valley, NY; her life partner of 48 years Veronica Young of Jacksonville, FL, and her nephew, Robert Spallone, along with a niece, nephews, sister-in-laws, and great-aunts.

Marian will be deeply missed by a whole bunch of diverse friends all across the globe! We Love you MAX!

Distribution of ashes will be announced at a far future date; Marian requested her ashes be spread between both the Pacific Ocean or Atlantic Ocean if possible (go figure!).

In lieu of flowers, please in Marian's name donate to a worthy charity to help needy animals, and everyday common folks who are struggling in life - thank you very kindly!
