Michael “Mike” Patrick Higgins passed away on Wednesday, July 9th, in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 57. If you knew Mike, you knew he was the life of the party. He had a way of filling up a room just by walking into it, and the world is a lot quieter without him in it.

He was the strongest man we’ve ever known. Through all of his struggles, he never lost his heart of gold. He understood how short life really is and made sure to say I love you as much as he could.

We take comfort knowing he’s been reunited with his mother and siblings, who he missed every single day. We like to think he’s with them now, settled into his favorite chair with the Browns in the background (probably losing), Corona in hand, making up for lost time.

He’s survived by his beautiful wife, his daughters, his grandchildren, and his countless friends.
