St. Johns

Phillip “Phil” Andrew Wilkinson, 68, passed away on July 23, 2025, from an accident at home.

Phil was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 25, 1956, moved to Naples Florida at the age of 13 and became a lifelong Miami Dolphins fan. He has resided in Fruit Cove, Florida since 1996. He will be remembered for living a life of service, while always being quick to crack a joke, smile, tell you he loved you, and lend a helping hand to family, friends, neighbors, and longtime customers of his Wilkinson Lawn Care business. Phil had an extraordinary ability to fix anything and often joked "Where there's a Phil, there's a way". He loved music and you always heard him coming before he pulled up in his truck.

In his later years, Phil became an energetic caregiver to his precious neighborhood feral cats in Fruit Cove Forest. Phil’s love of people really shined as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and every day he looked forward to the company of his brothers and sisters at Mandarin Kingdom Hall. He found true joy in the ministry and became a Shepherd in the congregation that allowed him to dedicate himself to bringing good news to his neighbors. Phil had a kind heart, a listening ear, and a steady presence that brought comfort and encouragement to those around him. In his final hours, surrounded by love, his faith was so strong he did not fear sleeping in death. (John 5:28,29).

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Terry, his two sons Brice & Matthew, his daughter Samantha, granddaughter Manila, brother Richard Allan Arnold (Gem), sister Debra Meffert (Craig) and many nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Millicent & Ray Wilkinson, brothers Noel, Ronnie, Dennis & Larry, and sister Lucy.

In lieu of flowers, Phil would have favored donations to Jehovah’s Witnesses or local non-profit organization Celestial Pet Rescue.
