Robert “Bob” Michael Holt, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025. Born in New Hartford, NY, on July 16, 1969, Bob was a beloved son, brother, husband, and friend who brought joy to everyone around him.
He is survived by his parents, Marie Holt of Port Orange, FL, and Robert Holt of Beverly, MA, as well as his loving husband, Ricky Strickland of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by his sisters, Lisa Holt of Merrimack, NH, and Megan Holt (wife Kirsten) of Jacksonville, FL, along with his four rescue dogs: Lucy, Bo, Molly, and PJ. Bob could not bear to see a dog in a bad home or a homeless pet, which led him to rescue these four, each of whom he lovingly gave a home.
Bob was the owner of Custom Climate Spray Foam Insulation. Outside of work, Bob’s love for boating, beer, and spending time with friends at Park Place was evident, where his infectious personality eventually led him to a role behind the bar. Whether he was hosting happy hour or sharing a laugh, Bob’s presence always made those around him feel welcome and appreciated.
His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of calling him a friend and loved one.
A private celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date.
