Ockerman, Roberta (Bobbi)

Bobbi Ockerman peacefully went to sleep 01-01-2018.  She was at home surrounded by her family.

She was born September 22, 1934 to Alan Gibson and Catherine (Callaghan) Jack in Boston, MA.  She had two brothers, Daniel and Paul.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers

She was a military wife for 21 years before she started working for Southern Bell/AT&T.  She retired in 1999 after 25 years of service as a long-distance operator.  Along the way she made many lifelong friends.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, CWA Local 3906 and Secretary of the CWA 3906 retirees club.

She enjoyed doing ceramics, quilting, traveling and reading.   She was an avid animal lover of which she had many.

Bobbi is survived by 4 children, Patricia Brown, Susan (Rich) Ripani, Steven (Jenny) Ockerman and Paul Ockerman.  3 grandchildren, Scott Brown, Robert (Kim) Hoefling and Jennifer Bachman and 11 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister in law, Joan Jack and nephew Eddie Jack.

Per her request there will not be any services.  Any donations in her memory to First Coast No More Homeless Pets.
