Obituary

Timothy “Tim” Charles McIntosh, 69, passed away on May 20, 2026, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on February 18, 1957, son of John Thomas McIntosh and Lavonia Ann (Anderson) McIntosh.

In 1976 Tim enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for 11 years. It was in the Navy that Tim realized his love of electronics and working on aircraft, guiding him to a career in Avionics. This career led him to many cities and states in the US, but he always had a desire to return to his hometown of Jacksonville.

On October 10, 2010, Tim married Mary Susan Youngblood and in 2013, they were able to return to Jacksonville where they bought a home and had the pleasure of feeding deer in their back yard. Tim retired in 2021. He enjoyed sitting on his back porch listening to music, petting (and spoiling) his kitty-cat children, and watching wildlife. He took great pleasure in his yard and would be so pleased to see the number of lemons on his Meyer Lemon tree! He would be talking about the pie that Susan would be making from those lemons.

The most important decision that Tim ever made was to accept Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Because of this, his pain is over, he has been made whole, and he lives eternally in Heaven with God.

Tim was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, brother Steven Wayne McIntosh, brother-in-laws Lee Stanley Youngblood and Robert Daniel Brodie, sister-in-law Laura McIntosh, as well as many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Mary Susan, aunt Bobbie Jones, sister Cecilia McIntosh-Brodie, sister-in-laws Beverly Anne Barfield and Alice Crews Youngblood, brother-in-law Tommie Gerald Barfield. Also surviving him are nephews David Lee Barfield (Natalia), Lee Thomas Barfield (Bethany), Levi James Webb, Carson Robert Rukab, and Memphis Daniel Rukab; and nieces Amy Lynn Webb (Danny), Taylor Nicole Webb, Caroline Brodie-Rukab (Jason), Hannah Patience Rukab, and Phoebe Grace Rukab. I would be remiss not to mention his precious kitties - Lucy Lou, Sally Jo, and Scooter McBoots.

At Tim’s request, there will be no memorial service. He will be buried at sea.
