Wayne Anthony Stanhope, of Orange Park, Florida, passed away in his home on Tuesday morning August 12th, 2025. He was 48 years old. Wayne was born in Machias, Maine on March 31st, 1977, to Michael Joseph Stanhope and Deborah Marjorie Blanchard, however, Grace Goodwin Stanhope was Mom.

His parents, Michael Joseph Stanhope and Grace Goodwin Stanhope, Bucksport ME, his in-laws Ricky and Jackie Howard Orange Park, FL. his grandchildren, who he adored, Ryker Wayne Shorey, Lubbock TX, Briella Rose Seymour, Bucksport ME. his siblings Chrystal Johnson (Matthew Johnson) Jonesboro, ME. Christopher Stanhope (Hillary Stanhope) Poland Springs, ME. Joseph McLaughlin Jonesboro, Me. and many nieces, nephews and friends that absolutely loved him.

Wayne, who was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, Opa, dog daddy and friend to so many, is now Rolling with The Tide. We lost our rock, our glue, our voice of reason, our calm within every storm and the man that was always the life of every party. Wayne was clever, sharp and at times, as described by his 3 loving boys, impulsively raunchy. We will forever miss his raw expression and one-of-a-kind sense of humor. He was a selfless angel of a man always taking care of everyone else. His wife Amber will be forever grateful for 19 years of butterflies. As expressed by Wayne in his last words, “most people in the world may never understand true love but we did”.

Wayne’s loved ones and closest friends will remember him for his ability to put complete strangers at ease, for his bright personality, and the way he captured an audience, whether it be at home or on a work call. He was dynamic and was always making people laugh. “The salt of the earth”. He was genuine, honest, loyal, hardworking, smart and had the best ideas and a wonderful eye for interior decorating. Most of all, Wayne loved so deeply, often to the point of tears. Every ounce of him was also loved and no Wayne, that’s not a fat joke.

The family wishes to acknowledge the challenges Wayne faced in hopes his story reminds others that they are not alone. If you are struggling, please know that help is available. Please reach out.

Although his family will feel this loss for the rest of our days he will forever live on in our hearts and our dreams.
